C.J. Bui, MD – President & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Bui has been president and chief executive officer of CanThao Corporation since its inception in 2002. He graduated from LSU Health Science Center School of Medicine and has trained clinically at numerous well-established medical centers including The University of California San Francisco Medical Center, SUNY Upstate Medical Center at Syracuse, Harvard University’s Boston Children’s Hospital, and Children’s Hospital of Birmingham. He has both clinical and basic science experience with many forms of cancer. He is a co-inventor of CT-630 and has taken its’ development from the lab to the current human clinical trials. He led CanThao Corporation from its’ infancy to its’ current status by assembling a strong management team, effective and active board of directors, and a premier scientific advisory board.
Adnan Siddiqui, MD, PhD - Vice President & Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Siddiqui has been Vice-President and Chief Medical Officer since CanThao’s inception in 2002. He completed his Doctorate at The University of Rochester, New York. He trained clinically at multiple institutions, including The University of Rochester, SUNY Upstate Medical Center at Syracuse, Harvard University’s Boston Children’s Hospital and The Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. Over the past 15 years, he has had extensive experience in conducting basic science research that includes a continued prominent role in NIH funded research. He has also had numerous publications and presentations at national and international meetings. Dr. Siddiqui has been the spearhead for the company’s research as well as clinical activities. He continues to oversee the development and clinical testing of CT-630.
Salman Siddiqui, CA
Salman Siddiqui has been the Chief Financial Officer of CanThao Corporation since its inception in 2002. He has extensive experience in Finance and Management. He has most recently been a Manager of Transaction Services at KPMG, London. He has a background in financial services audit as well as a broad experience in transaction services that has been bolstered by media industry work experience. He possesses strong analytical skills, firmly grounded in multi-media presentation techniques. Mr. Siddiqui qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997 and was subsequently hired by KPMG in the financial services audit department. He left KPMG in 2001 to join the world of New Media, first with Planet Crea in Italy. While there he participated in the development of interactive children’s ‘edutainment.’ He then moved to Two Way TV in London, where he functioned as an interactive television developer. He rejoined KPMG in late 2002 with the Pakistan Transaction Services practice in Karachi. In March 2005 he moved back to London, joining KPMG’s Transaction Services practice as a Manager in the Information, Communications, and Entertainment sector. Mr Siddiqui is currently developing multiple parallel business models for promotion of novel therapeutic and nutritional products from CanThao Corporation.
Rita Courville, MS, RN
Rita Courville has been a member of the Board and a key clinical trial advisor for CanThao Corporation since its inception. Ms. Courville earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Southwestern Louisiana. She has over ten years of clinical nursing experience with extensive experience in cardiovascular, gastroenterology, and hepatology patient care. Her most recent experiences have been as a Clinical Research Coordinator and a Hepatology Nurse Coordinator for California Pacific Medical Center’s Department of Transplant. Over the past 3 years, she has participated in the set up as well as management of 12 clinical drug trials for patients with hepatitis and/or liver disease. Ms. Courville continues to oversee not only the management of our current clinical trials but aide in the development of future studies as well.
